Apps#

The Apps screen (sidebar, Ctrl+6) launches Board’s bundled companion apps. Type in “Search apps…” or use the category chips to narrow the grid, then click a card to launch — the app opens in its own window (a “LAUNCHING…” pill shows while it starts).

Right-click a card for Launch, Pin to Essentials / Unpin from Essentials, and About. Pinned apps live in the ★ ESSENTIALS group at the top; by default that’s Viewer, Chatbot, and File Converter.

What it does

Viewer

The signal viewer in a standalone window — same live view as the View screen.

Bands

Live EEG power-band visualization (delta/theta/alpha/beta…).

ERP Visualization

Live event-related potentials.

I/O & tools#

App

What it does

File Converter

Convert .db recordings to EEGLAB / MNE formats — same engine as the Convert screen.

Stream IO

Replay a .fif or .db file over LSL with playback controls — as if it were live.

LSL Configuration

Manage LSL network settings: scope, peers, log level.

Input2LSL

Turn mouse and keyboard events into an LSL marker stream.

Chatbot

The Jena assistant in a standalone window (BETA).

LSL Configuration

Most live apps need a connected device first (see Connect); file-based apps (Stream IO, File Converter) work without one. The two experiment apps need PsychoPy installed on your system.
