Ask Jena (chat assistant)#

Jena is Board’s built-in assistant. She can tell you how your signal looks and how to improve it, and help you find your way around the application — she knows which screen you are on and what state it is in.

Opening the chat#

Click the 💬 button in the sidebar. The chat opens as a panel docked to the right side of the window. The icon button in the chat header toggles between:

  • Docked — attached to the right side of the main window.

  • Detached — a separate window you can move to another monitor.

Signing in#

Jena requires an account. Enter your email and password in the chat panel and click Log in. No account yet? Use the request access link — it opens a prefilled contact form on brainaccess.ai.

Until you sign in, the message box is disabled (“Log in above to start chatting.”).

Chatting#

Type in the message box (“Ask Jena…”) and press Enter to send — Shift+Enter inserts a newline instead. Good things to ask:

  • “How does my signal look?”

  • “How do I get rid of the 50 Hz noise?”

  • “Where do I find my recordings?”

  • “How do I check electrode contact?”

A usage meter in the panel shows how much Jena usage you have left for the current period.

Reporting a problem#

The chat panel includes a report form — describe what happened and what you expected, optionally attach files, and send it to the BrainAccess team.
