Where BrainAccess Mobile keeps your data on the phone, what leaves the phone, and — just as important — what does not.

Recordings are excluded from Android cloud backup and phone-to-phone transfer. They will not silently follow you to a new device — copy them off yourself (see Recordings and review for the share sheet).
Warning
Uninstalling the app deletes every recording and snapshot along with its settings. Export first.
Privacy#

The LSL outlet is off by default. When you turn it on, the app publishes the streaming headset’s raw EEG on your local network, where any LSL client on the same network can receive it. On a shared or untrusted network this is a live broadcast of your data.
Streaming is opt-in: you turn it on at viewer → More → Output → LSL outlet, and the choice is then remembered. Nothing is uploaded to the internet and nothing is stored elsewhere — see Streaming to a computer (LSL) for how the outlet works.
Apart from that, your EEG data stays on the phone unless you share it. The only
other outbound traffic is the update check: when the app starts, and again
when a headset connects, it requests the firmware manifest from brainaccess.ai,
identifying the app version, that this is an Android device, and — on connect —
the headset’s model and serial number, so the server can answer for your
device. No account, no advertising, no analytics service, and no EEG is ever
sent to BrainAccess. The full statement is on the Privacy policy page.
